The Alto card is a pre-paid debit card developed specifically for Credit Union members.

It is a debit, not a credit card, so there is no danger that you can get into debt. The only money that you can spend on the Alto card is what is in your Castle and Crystal savings account. But you can still use it just like a credit card and anywhere that you see the Mastercard logo.

• It is a cost effective way to manage your money with no hefty interest charges added on top of what you spend; It is free to use on any purchases made and is valid for three years

• Make cash withdrawals from a cash machine at any time- there is £1 charge for each withdrawal
• Castle and Crystal can arrange to load funds onto your card within 48 hours.
• Top ups can be made at anytime at a cost of just 50p per top up.
• Each time you buy something, the balance on your Alto card reduces accordingly, preventing you from overspending or going overdrawn.

• Like a debit or credit card from a bank, the Alto Card comes with a secure 4 digit pin number
